You are going off the assumption that teams in CUSA (including us) cant beat them because of their recruiting. He still has to win.

So then .... how did WKU do against ODU last season? Who eliminated ODU from their only shot at getting to the NCAA Tournament (via winning the Conference Tournament)? Seems like they already have that covered as far as ODU is concerned.

How did we do the prior year? How did we do over the course of a full season? They had our number heads up and were a sightly better team overall. They still stayed home during the NCAAs. Its not like they are some conference giant (Gonzaga).

I can't believe that you would even argue this Giles. We are talking about WKU's recruiting here. What they did last season is pretty impressive compared to what ODU did. WKU returned just (1) starter last season so they had to essentially replace an entire lineup. Coupled with that they lost at least one of their top recruits that they were counting on to fill the void. The strength of their recruiting is why they were a better team than ODU was last season, or the same could be said as being the reason why ODU wasn't the better team. With the imbalanced schedules in CUSA, the best gauge of which team is better between two teams is always going to be head to head results instead of where a team finished in the overall standings.

To bring up the head to head of the prior year with WKU is pretty irrelevant and you should know that. Stansbury had just become the coach a few months before the season started.
