Definitely agree - but money is the primary driving force for a new coach (as is the case for any potential new-hire). We aren’t going to get much for the ~$400k we’re paying Jones. Put $1-1.5M on the table and the options open up dramatically. But the biggest question - what donors are going to pay for it? If we only have $400K to offer, than our options are limited and we’re going to have to gamble on hiring an assistant from a big program who appears to have “potential.”

I haven’t looked into the uva assistant UNCC hired, but it would be interesting to know what they are paying him.

If that is the case, there is some serious mismanagement going on and Wood needs to go as well.
