-Kansas State essentially played 6 guys. They have 2 guys that play over 6-5; 6-8 225 and 6-9 215

-Kentucky-Obviously size all over the place

-Loyola- They have 1 big guy in the rotation 6-9 260. Plays 24 mins per game

-Nevada- Their forwards are 6-7 195, 6-7 235, 6-7, 200

-FSU- They are a team that has 2 7 footers on roster. (neither do anything but stand in paint to guard basket)

-Gonzaga- 6-10 200 and 6-8 225 are two big guys

-Michigan- 1 big guy, 6-10 210

-Texas A&M- Big team. 6-10 221, 6-9 237, 6-8 216, 6-10 265

-Nova- 6-9 260, 6-6 205

-West VA- 6-8 250, 6-8 205, 6-8 225

-Texas Tech- 1 big guy that plays 14 mins per game 6-11 255

-Purdue- Another big team multiple 7 footers

-Kansas- 1 7 footer (that I think is out). Other big guyys are 6-8 210 and 6-9 245, but limited mins.

-Clemson- 6-9 251 and 6-8 205

-Syracuse- Have a lot of size to play that zone

-Duke- 6-11 234 and 6-10 259 are primary rotation. also have 6-11 245 and multiple guys that ride pine.

It was interesting to me that outside of blue bloods, a lot of the teams only have 1 big player in the rotation.

The data you presented for the only team that I checked on (Michigan) is totally incorrect which would lead me to think that there is indeed some bias on your part. What I found their roster listing to be is as follows as far as their "big" men go. NOTE that I have included guys in the 6'-7" 220 LBS. and up range since you are OK with ODU playing guys even smaller than that at the power (4 & 5) positions.

6'-7", 225 lbs. - Naji Ozeir
6'-7", 230 lbs. - Isaiah Livers
6'-8", 215 lbs. - Duncan Robinson
6'-8", 220 lbs. - Brent Hibbitts
6'-10, 245 lbs. - Austin Davis
6'-11", 245 lbs. - Morits Wagner (their star player who you left out)
7'-1", 255 lbs. - Jon Teske

I tried to inlcude guys in the rotation (and are frontcourt players. Wagner was the guy listed above. Duncan Robinson is a perimeter player.

Livers, I guess can be added, but is really sporadic on playing time.
Teske isn't really in the rotation, but you can include him if you want.

Ozeir, Hibbitts, Davis don't play.

FWIW, we are not tied down by any scheme and it is based on the players we have. The team is moving to a more spread it out style with 3 point shooters.

Moritz Wagner isn't 6'-10", 210 lbs. as you initially noted according to the roster link that I provided. He is 6'-11", 245 lbs. which is unto itself a significant difference in size.

I realize that not everyone that I listed plays the same amount of time. That said, they are still available if needed. Just look at how Michigan State's star big man (Haas) suffered a broken elbow in their first NCAA Tournament game and had to quickly be replaced in the starting line-up by a freshman big man who I believe is himself over 7'. That's why they have size on the bench whether they play much or not.

I realize that Robinson is listed as a 6'-8" perimeter player. He is also bigger than our 6'-5" perimeter player (B.J.), or another 6'-7" perimeter player (McClinton) who you have stated as being adequate for playing inside at ODU under Jeff Jones. As such, he too should have been on your listing of "bigs".

I agree that ODU isn't tied down by a scheme under Jeff Jones. It is also true that he left his two best 3 point shooters on the bench solely because they didn't fit his scheme this past season. Only time will tell if he goes in a different direction next season and beyond.
