I may be wrong but I think it depends on the inventory of P5 talent who are not getting meaningful playing time - vs G5 talent who have demonstrated their value. For instance, a P5 may want Porter but what “Porter like” talent hasn’t seen many minutes on a P5 team (and then would transfer to a G5). It’s an interesting situation to analyze. You really have to evaluate the entire portfolio of talent across the P5/G5. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
