Louisiana Tech submitted plans to the Board of Supervisors for their approval but wont be able to begin construction until they money is raised. They solicited funds for over three years for their end zone bldg and finally had to induce the students to vote a fee upon themselves in order to issue bonds to cover over half the cost which the students will be paying off now over the next 22-23yrs. Probably wont be able to get them to give any more so its wait and see as to whether the fans will pony up for this project.

Most of the funding for this project is already in hand and it is very likely to start construction after the end of the 2016 season. They have decided to see how much additional money they can get to improve the final product. The endzone project was originally 18 million but finished at 22 million with upgraded/additional interior upgrades.

Must be a heavy hitter booster in the background on this as there has been no public announcement of fund raising, etc. If Tech relies on their general fan base for the money then you are looking at several years, if history repeats itself. Remember it took 3yrs or so to raise the $9mil added to the student bond issue to get the SEZ project completed. The STRUCTURE for that end zone project cost $14mil. If the new add ons can garner that much money then they should be able to make it look good.
