You guys act like you were so far above them last season. May I remind you that FIU was 5-7 and you were 6-6 before The Santa Claus Bowl. You beat them in overtime. I'd say they did something on the field. Before you were given a bowl game by miracle, the difference between FAU and FIU's seasons amounted to a whopping seven points.SEVEN POINTS! They have every right to talk because they are on FAU's tail bigtime. The hard talk you display is nothing more than fear. In my experience, those who do not fear, don't speak in that tone.

However, I must give credit where it's due. After santa claus dropped off FAU's bowl invite, they performed very well, and it is to be applauded. They represented the sunbelt very very well.

We have been to the 1-AA semifinals, one back to back bowl games and the won confrence in 2007 and your saying that them that becuase they played a close game with us that proves something on the feild thats a joke.
Also if FIU did beat us they would not have gone to a bowl like some of there fans like to think we only got into that bowl because of the year before and Howard Schnellenberger.

I'm sorry dude, there's not really much more to say. Mario Cristobal is doing great things at FIU. Just look at his personality. You like to use back to back bowl wins and 1-AA semifinals, but you're doing the same thing at the other FAU fans are doing. You're not looking at FIU's potential and rise. You're justifying your point based on what you've done in the past. Their fans are future minded, whereas many of FAU's fans are past minded.

Your 1-AA semifinals and two bowl wins will not save you from the new golden panthers. They will have zero impact on the game, that's my point. Who gives a crap about bowl victories and previous era bragging rights. There's NO WAY FAU could have EVER beat Troy AT Troy in 2007. Afterall, we've beaten #17 Missouri, Marshall, Miss State twice, and Oklahoma State. Also, we've hung with FSU, GT, LSU twice, and scored the most points out of anyone in 6 years at the swamp. You wanna talk bragging rights there it is. BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER. WE STILL LOST AND YOU WENT TO THE NEW ORLEANS BOWL. So, take your bowl wins and pee wee league victories and toss them out. They don't matter next season.

That's what you guys don't get. NO ONE IS IMMUNE. Troy has the most talented team in the sunbelt and will still have a tough time winning the sunbelt. NO ONE IS IMMUNE TO ANYONE.
