Believe that 10 years projection is a pipe dream. I believe it would've been closer to 20 years with all the lawsuits.

Maybe, but 10 or 20- the difference is really academic. The point I think Strickland was making was that 10 years, 20 years, isn't 2025. Of course, that was just one of the factors mention, but probably a significant one..at least I hope so.

So the 10-year estimate based on acquiring land that we don't have yet? I can see where that might be a delay and a problem. Of course I think the biggest problem is simply the 400 million-dollar cost.... and that will turn into God knows how much more in 10 years. The giant elephant blocking the door.

I wonder where they thought about putting it if they had to acquire land? Between Highland and Patterson?

If it was over the the library and engineering crossing over zach curling then wouldn't the university already own the land?

Could they have been thinking across Southern? Or maybe off of Patterson between Poplar and Central behind the Holiday Inn?

I don't think they were thinking of anything at all and just pulled a number out of their ass. They never wanted it on campus.
