I don’t think we’ve stuck w JJ because we can’t buy him out. I think it’s because he’s Wood’s buddy. Wood hand selected JJ when everyone else thought it would likely be a disaster. And he doesn’t want to admit he was wrong or hurt his friend. Honestly, Jeff has actually been better than I feared. But that’s not necessarily good since it adds some rationale to why Wood keeps him around.

Hopefully these A10 rumors are true. I think we’d have a much better coaching pool to hire from moving into that conference.

Whatever advantages derived from going A10 for BB are more than wiped out by going FBS independent for FB. And FB is much more important to ODU than BB. There’s a reason why there is only 5 FBS independents. That would be a complete disaster. Ask UMass how much they like it. Why destroy FB by changing conferences when we could simply change the BB HC? I am more hopeful that a new President will make a change at AD to solve our problems more so than moving to the A10.
