Georgia Southern is allergic to defending a two-minute drill. Here are the results of each final possession of a half for GS opponents so far this season:

1H vs. Campbell: Campbell takes over with 1:14 to play. They gain a quick 10 yards, but then run out the clock.
2H vs. Campbell: Camels take over with 1:59 to play, down 7... Campbell converts a 4th down and goes 64 yards in 8 plays. GS wins by stopping a 2-pt conversion.

1H vs. ULL: GS throws an INT at midfield with 12 seconds left and immediately allows a 34-yard pass to set up a short FG that is missed
2H vs. ULL: GS rallies to score and go up a point with 54 seconds to play. Eagles allow completions of 18, 12 and 19 yards to set up GW field goal

1H vs. ULM: ULM takes over at own 25 with 1:34 remaining after GS has gone up 21-10. Eagles don't even pretend to know what a pass rush is. GS allows four plays of 10+ yards, including a converted fourth down. A terrible ball spotting fuckup by the refs puts the ball on the 2 with three seconds left. ULM rushes to the line and sends a receiver in motion. GS neglects to use a time out and the motion man ends up running a route that was pretty much impossible to stop with the Eagles' man-to-man coverage.
2H vs. ULM: Warhawks take over at own 27 with 2:47 to play. Suits completes two more passes of 10+ yards and picks up another fourth down conversion. If Suits was two inches taller (or if he hadn't gone nuclear on his throw on the penultimate play) ULM wins.

Not only do the Eagles do a terrible job of defending late in a half, they also don't see the cycle repeating itself. The only time in six halves of play where the Eagles held final possession was when they recovered the onside kick vs. Campbell. If you're not going to stop a two-minute drill, at least fail at a faster rate and give the offense a chance to bail you out.
