He was a terrible recruiter. Remember Memphis can’t get national big name recruits.
You can’t quote anything he says after that...anything because credibility was lost.

People that pull out Tubby’s name after a bad loss in an 18-6 season can go take a hike.

The problem is we have no good experienced juniors and seniors on this team because tubby didn’t recruit any. A normal team would have several 3-4 year players who could come in and help settle things down when the game starts getting out of control. And we only have any decent sophomores (Tyler and Alo) due to Penny being Penny and being able to get them late.

If we keep everybody around it’ll look a lot better next year.

Jamal Johnson. 6 4 physically strong guard plays about 14 minutes a game off bench for Bruce Pearl at Auburn.
He's shooting over 45% from 3.
