There are very few coaches that would bench the QB because the opponent is too good. May as well raise a white flag before the game and the whole team would see that. How about we be Huskies and compete.

Normally I'd agree with this, but this is SUCH a mismatch on paper with Utah D vs NIU O that I think one has to consider protecting players. NiU has not been overmatched on the line like this since I cannot remember when

Ok stop.....they are playing a ranked Utah team, not the 1985 Chicago Bears defense. What kind of coach would bench their Best QB because he might get hurt?? Guess what? He can get hurt any game. NIU are not a bunch of sissies.

I concur. It's just not the NIU way. We don't back down from anyone. No matter who lines up from us, we will give you a hard fought victory.

We took Florida State 3 quarters of frustrating football. And those dudes had something like 20 drafted players on that team to our handful of future NFLers. We almost gave Ohio State a heart attack, and that team was good! Little Shawun Lurry gave those dudes PROBLEMS!

So just because there's a size, speed or skill mismatch. We should never back down. It's just not our way. I get the whole, save your chips now to win down the road. But it just isn't us.
