Some truth in that. Ultimately, we need to understand that American concepts of “liberty” and “freedom” are very scarce in the world, and are not guaranteed to endure even within America. If the balance tilts too far in the direction of people like Gillibrand and Durbin, then yeah we will, indeed, lose our “free society” to “radicals” who want to destroy it. And that will happen whether we “stick to procedure” or not.

To me, things like this (the gun-control proponents threatening the Court) is merely a sign that a growing % of our society no longer desires to live under the Constitution and — if they attain the necessary political power to put their desires into effect — will take it away from us. In a lot of ways, they already have.

It is up to us to call them out and oppose them every way that we can.
