Boxing doesn't suck it's just on ppv. If there were more title fights on regular tv then boxing would be more popular. The welterweight division is the best as it's been along time.

Clearly it doesn't really affect the main draws, they still make dough.

BUT, I remember old ABC and ESPN broadcasts that would show free fights for Ali, Holmes, Tyson, Leonard, etc...so fans could follow their progress.

Hearns, Hagler, Duran, Leonard … now that was TV! Just watched Hagler / Hearns on youtube for the heck of it. 3 rounds of fury. What a fight between 2 badasses.

Yeah, that was incredible.

That did for casual boxing observers what Griffin/Bonner did for MMA fans in the mid 2000's.

If you've never seen this, it's worth the time.
