I just thought I'd get something else off our minds for a minute because this has just put a hamper on good times for all of us. What do y'all think? It's going to be fun to check this group out. We knew that last year was going to be bad after losing everyone on a team that was awesome. This year might be pretty good to check out.

It looks like NE will be the "preseason" favorite along with C of C, but the Hawks even last year at the end were very competitive. A lot of speculation has been made about starting lineups and that's cool. I like the depth of this team much better as there's a lot more able bodies and some really good freshmen and 2 transfers that will be eligible. There will be some serious competition for jobs/PT and that makes everyone better. And, UNCW has the best player in the CAA in Cacok so that really helps.

If you look at the league, there's the top 2 preseason and there's always Hofstra and the Tribe to deal with. I don't see a reason why the Hawks can't make this interesting once again. The defense has to improve. If it does, the Hawks have a legit chance to really improve and contend with anyone come March IMHO. Much will depend on the maturation of the last year's freshmen/core guys and the emergence of the new guys that are very talented. Let's see.
