I really don't get why anyone cares about awards that don't matter .....especially when it's impossible to compare pitching vs. positional and have an internutz bias....

there's a reason the MLB draft mostly goes after arms early....that's easily all the Sand man cares about....

Don’t agree. Really good exposure for the program. Especially given that it is tough for non-major conference teams to recruit pitching.

that's a fair point.....

however, the internet aspect also allows the largest fanbase to skew the numbers.....

IMO, it simply becomes a popularity contest....

Fan voting in most of these things is normally like 5-10%. Has it increased this year?
