Before Coach Clark arrived, we hadn't had a good head football coach since Jim Hilyer was on the sidelines in 1994. Gotta add that we did have very good defensive football coaching during the Watson Brown era until Coach Donohoe got busted and Coach Clay and Coach Neal left.
At UAB we measure our droughts not by years but decades. I think the Foundation is going a long way towards breaking that cycle in football. I wish we had basketball boosters with their resources and passion.
Anderson wasn't good he was great. Good would be Davis.
Davis had his moments but I can't say he was a good coach for UAB. Neither were Murry, Haase, or Ehsan so far. They all had moments but they were too few and far between to re-build our fan base or our reputation. Every coach (and AD) after Gene Bartow, other than Mike Anderson, has played a part in the slow decline of our program.
