i'm guessing (again) that this is a coach's decision. they could theoretically come back in the second half, but maybe he feels that would be a distraction? how would you split up first team reps in practice that week? if it is up to him, I don't blame him for doing that. better to let the backup get all the reps.

Before last season it was announced the UNH stud TE (was all CAA 2015) was suspended for the 1st 6 games of the season for an undisclosed violation of team rules. Put 2 and 2 together- he probably pissed hot after their 1 2015 playoff game. it turned out to be 5.5 games, as he played in the 2nd half in their 6th game vs Elon.

i'm still confused about this paragraph. i said they could "theoretically come back in the second half" and that perhaps MH is making a coaching decision. you then mentioned what a completely different coach did. does MH call Sean McDonnell about his coaching decisions?

Sorry, I missed that part. I think the ?? is is the NCAA mandating a 6 game suspension, or 5 1/2 games.
