You don't know who said it. And yes I think it's lame that after your team won, you're emailing an AD trying to mess with a kid for something he muttered under his breath after an emotional loss.
If he said what he said to our fans after the win as well, he needs to be reigned in.
Did someone mutter something under their breath too close to a mic? Certainly. Do you know who it was? Certainly not. Should people be saying Brantly is a Punk because he might have said it? Also, certainly not.
From what I was told Ogbodo said something to him in the line and that's why they started jawing and the whole handshake was canceled after the game at Trask. But after the game I didn't come on here and talk trash on hearsay. I actually came on and said ogbodo played great and that I didn't see why he doesn't play more instead of bryan. Why? Because I knew I was listening to hearsay and only part off the story. Remember that Ogbodo got the T and Brantly got the T in response.
I'm not saying the hot mic comment or the reactions from either team in Trask were acceptable, but neither is bad mouthing some kid based on your feelings of what has happened.
I'd also like to say that I enjoy having a rivalry 3 years into a new conference that rises to this level. I can only imagine that someone was watching the press conference of the losing team in the hopes of seeing tears of the enemy or something similar.
Next year it'll be our turn, enjoy it while it lasts.
Read through the thread. Beyond the T and the jawing at UNCW, apparently Brantley looked at the student section with an "F" you in the line after the game. Then, he was one of two at the mic who said "F" those "Ni..". Maybe it was him, maybe the other guy. But based on past actions, it isn't pure speculation.
We've had several good rivalries through the years and look forward to this one. Just hope it's a respectful rivalry. At a minimum, Brantley isn't starting that way, and he isn't being singled out amongst all your other players without justification. He's earning it. We've had hot headed players before, so it isn't a first. But we never defended it, and in fact called them out.
Take a moment and ask what your reaction would have been had CJ Bryce been caught saying the same thing on the mic?
