IMPORTANT NOTE:

Someone earlier suggested taking out a note for an RV, getting it and heading out earlier, before the house sells.

I absolutely LOVE the idea, and had not thought of it before.

However, after some thought (not much), I think I'll wait. Once I launch Operation Triple A on the road, that's going to be a full-time load of stuff to learn, and it will soon take me far from here.

If my house hasn't sold before I leave, I will be constantly distracted by that, making it more difficult to handle what for me is a completely different lifestyle at age 79.

I think it will be hard enough to learn without doing that.

Also, if the house doesn't sell quickly, I likely will try to do things to help it along, like painting this or that, changing something in the landscape, changing real estate agents, etc.

I can't easily do those things, if at all, if I'm far away from home and totally distracted with my new lifestyle.

So I will take a deep breath, exhale, and concentrate on this task, rather than trying to do both at once.

In addition, I see another advantage to waiting. I don't feel anywhere close to having thought my entire plan through to the point I foresee at the moment, which I listed above.

So staying here gives me much more time to plan out the details, which also will calm me down and cheer me up, before I actually jump in the deep end. That's just how I'm wired. I feel more comfortable the more I plan. I can also jump in and go, if I have to, but I feel much more comfortable taking my time.

If I die early, that's just how it goes. But I do LOVE the idea of heading out now, lol. It's just not practical for my particular disposition at the moment. I have been hit with some giant obstacles and situations coming at me all at once, more than ever in my life, so I'm going to slow down and deal with them at a slower pace.

If the sale drags out too long, then at some point, I may reconsider.
