I'm certainly happy Maduro is out of power and Venezuela is better off without him. I'm also impressed with how quickly and efficiently US armed forces were able to get this done.

I just think the whole thing reeks of the nation building BS we went through in the 2000s. We're occupying a nation now and plan on extracting their natural resources and profit off them.

Drugs are the new "weapons of mass destruction".

You don't see the conflict in the first two paragraphs? Either you're happy about Maduro or you aren't. Make up your damn mind.

You guys don’t seem to understand that it’s possible to not like Maduro, think we shouldn’t have gone in without congressional approval, and damn sure shouldn’t declare “we run Venezuela now” and be nation building in South America.

Being against military action without congressional approval and against taking over foreign countries doesn’t mean you are pro Maduro.

You guys can’t understand that nuance because you are in a cult where MAGA is all or nothing, you have to 100% agree with your dear leader or you are out.

You don't understand that none of that has occurred. We've left their government largely intact and declared our intention to let it remain so as long as they proceed with the interests of their citizens first and, secondly, those interests align with our own. You're merely projecting what you think will occur, or more precisely what you hope will occur so that you can further your OMB TDS. It's a sick, twisted fantasy world in which you exist.

Trump didn't need congressional approval any more than Bush needed it to go after Noriega. Haven't we already established that? Are you that dense?
