Looks like air strikes are underway in Venezuela. Around midnight (central time) the FFA issued a flight warning for all altitudes inside Venezuelan airspace due to ongoing military activity. Multiple videos are available on social media showing explosions near military installations and military command and control buildings. Choppers are part of the attacks and video seems to verify that. At least one video seems to be an attack helicopter armed with a missile pod and chain gun (possibly from the American Amphib Iwo Jima). There are some reports claiming troops have been inserted (Im skeptical about that claim--but there does appear to be a video where a big Chinook chopper is flying---so idk).

Trump has helped stop 8 wars or so in the past year.
But in this case, Maduro is not a legitimate leader of Venezuela, and he refuses to leave. He lost a fair and free election with only 30% of the vote. This has been recognized by voting observers and countries worldwide.
Years ago he seized US physical assets and oil inside Venezuela, without compensation.
He has been running drugs into the US and elsewhere, contributing to the deaths of thousands of Americans.
Trump has been warning him for weeks, and putting an embargo on oil shipments and air movement, and striking drug-running boats. Maduro has refused to leave.
Maduro is now recognized as head of a cartel.
Fox reporting at least 7 explosions and multiple low-flying aircraft have been heard in Caracas.

That wasn't a war. It was the capture of the head of a drug cartel, similar to the one that got Noriega years ago.

Many countries are actually celebrating this. Maduro wasn't recognized by many countries, including our own, as the legitimate leader of Venezuela. Not just that, but chances are the DOJ, UCMJ, and even the UN said it was legal.
