Is their career so ruined that this is their only way to get back in the spotlight?
In fairness, I don't think I've seen anything with Rose McGowan in it
My wife, a conservative woman, knows what HW did was wrong. But she's also adamant that these women were more than willing to do whatever it took at the time to launch their careers.
Multi-million $$$ and years later they complain.
She's not buying it.
My mother thinks the same way. Being 80, Catholic, conservative, and set in her ways, her reaction was "these women had every chance to say no, but they decided that their career was more important than their dignity and let him do what he did. Now they suddenly come out, cry sexual abuse, and play the victim?"
She ain't buying it either.
As for me, I have similar thoughts.
If these actresses were that aghast over HW, they could have told him to take a hike or kicked him in the plumbs. Either way, THEY decided that the role or their career was worth it. Can't complain now.
"Shaw: Madam, would you sleep with me for a million pounds?
Actress: My goodness. Well, I'd certainly think about it.
Shaw: Would you sleep with me for a pound?
Actress: Certainly not! What kind of woman do you think I am?!
Shaw: Madam, we've already established that. Now we are haggling about the price."
