Flat earthers would tell you that it's a conspiracy against God and religion. I'm not a flat earth person, but I also don't believe most of the scientifically accepted concepts of how the universe works relative to distances, rotational speed, etc. I do believe that "photos" of the planet are very altered, if not completely fake. Scientist tell you the planet is actually a little pear shaped, not a perfect circle, yet the "photos" show a perfect circle, so one or the other has to be incorrect.

The Earth isn't pear shaped. It presses in at the poles and bulges at the equator. The difference is very minute and you can't tell by the naked eye. It takes very precise measurements to be able to tell. So the pictures, which also show the atmosphere will seem to be spherical.
