You have my attention...
BGSU literally has a section of their website devoted to attempting to bat down the "STD Capital of the World" rumors they've had for the last two decades. Like, their actual institutional website lol.
If you've ever been to OU for Halloween...well...you wouldn't remember it, but I've heard it's fun
There's a lot of girls at BGSU... they market themselves as one of the top schools for education majors (which happens to attract more females than males). Out of curiosity I looked it up and 57% of the student body on the main campus are women. By comparison UC, OSU, Ohio and Miami are roughly 49-51% female at the main campus.
Went to Halloween in Athens once, I wound up drinking all night and waking up on the floor in the middle of someone's apartment on a pile of people who had similarly just fell to the ground in the last spot they were standing.
Daughter graduated from OU. Some idiot decided to have Parents weekend on Halloween Weekend. They thought it would reduce problems. Instead it resulted in parents also going to jail.
My wife was pulled over for suspected DUI - twice - during different Mom's weekends in Athens when our youngest kid went there. I remember the one year 9 mothers were arrested during the weekend. OU deserves it's party rep, not much else to do down there. Dad's weekends were rough.

This needs to be saved and brought back out when people around here forget the fans' place in the pecking order. What he said is true for most every team.
Although I might disagree a little with the Alabama is not pro football comment LOL

True. But on the plus side, we have three weeks after an often tense and intense regular season to collectively:
- lower our blood pressure,
- reduce consumption of antacids,
- rediscover what life is really like outside the bubble of college football 24/7,
- bask in the glow of having a National Championship semi-finalist to crow about for 23 more days,
-and anticipate a National Championship Game appearance (and victory?).

It's the best time to be a Bearcat fan.
Yep. What sucks for me though is North Carolina has implemented a statewide burn ban due to our current drought conditions. I have a spot on my one acre property that I like to burn leaves, limbs and wood logs. Absolutely love watching and sitting beside a hot fire at night with an adult beverage. The only thing more relaxing for me is sitting under an umbrella with a good book at one of the NC beaches.

Can't wait to see Saban turn this around and use it as motivation for his team. "Everybody is rooting against you", "nobody loves us", "it's us against the world" type speeches. Just wait for it.

Yea. Our kicking game has really deflated our SP+ numbers. We're still top 5, but we're 79th in special teams and nearly all of it is fg kicking related.

Our red zone numbers would be much better too if we just converted a few more field goals. Note to staff: don't kick a FG in the semi-finals unless THERE ARE NO OTHER OPTIONS. I'm serious! Make it four down territory as much as possible to keep the pressure on Bama's dee and the pressure off our wide-eyed field goal kickers.

It’s literally as bad as I’ve ever seen a program be in that facet.
The thing is our punt and fg block units are great. We've been really good in punt returns and solid on kickoff returns. Our coverage units are good. The fact that we're 79th tells you just how bad the fg kicking has been.

I'm not sure if Fickell is much of an analytics guy, and frankly we go for it a lot on 4th down anyways, but at this point in the year I have to think if the field goal is anything greater than 27+ yards our Win% probably increases with anything shorter than a 4th and 10 attempt.
