I hear Doss’s penthouse suite will have plenty of room for all of us. We just need to get a ride on his jet timeshare.

I'm good with a 1 point win over Alabama.

Sauce vs. Jameson Williams is going to be a fascinating matchup. Sauce has a chance to solidify himself as a top ten draft pick depending on his performance. Very happy we have the best cornerback in the country to matchup against their stud receiver.

It is absolutely amazing what this football program has accomplished in the last 15 years after a century of ineptitude and apathy.
The deck has been stacked against them and they just continue to rise. I honestly can’t say I ever expected to see this day.

Will sauce shadow or just stick to his side?

Alabama regularly moves formations and people around to switch the D responsibility. They also scrape guys in coverage.

Line is opening at 13.5.

Bama -13.5
One thing's for certain. Sabes will not look past UC to the Georgia/Michigan winner. He'll have his time to poor over film and scheme but so will Fick and his staff. Another thing's for certain...our confidence and belief that we can play against anybody together with our performance last year against Georgia will help us on game day. Finally, our group of Seniors has been nothing short of incredible and I wouldn't put any challenge past them.

O/U is 49. That seems potentially low to me.

Kickoff at 330

This will be the first game all season where this team won't have all of the pressure of world on them. I can't wait to see this team, and this coaching staff, in that situation for once.

Meechi is out. One less target to worry about.
Jerome Ford can probably give a good scouting report.

Yep. No more distractions with coaching changes and the CFP. They are in. The focus, the preparation, the energy flow is all going in the same direction uninhibited. The secondary CFP Selection show reporters [Greg McElroy and RGIII] were saying that Cincinnati would have all the pressure now from carrying the Group of Five Mantle and playing against Alabama. I call out B.S. on that one.

What are the financial ramifications of making the playoff (and beyond)? Does UC get any extra money or does it all go to the AAC conference to share? What about CLF? Does anyone know what kind of bonus he gets for making the playoff (and beyond)?

Apparently that CFP show is four hours. They are talking about anything and everything

I don't log in here as much as I used to, but I had to today for posterity.
We did it, ladies and gentlemen. Our Bearcats are CFP bound. When I first started reading Bearcat Banter, I didn't have an account and Butch Jones was in the middle of his first winning season at UC. I know I haven't been here as long as a lot of folks, but it's incredible to think about what this program has gone through in the last 10 years. Butch Jones whoring himself out, the Big East collapsing and leaving our whole school in freefall, Tuberville killing the program, the Big 12 kicking us in the balls, Fickell rebuilding the program to new heights, and our rightful place in a P5 conference finally being secured.
It's just incredible. Congratulations and thank you to all of us hardcore UC fans who endured the last 10 years and pushed for what this school is capable of, and what it deserves.
Happy Pike to Binns Day, and happy CFP Day!

And congrats to the band who get to spend New Year's Eve (and a day or two before, I imagine) in Dallas. Nice and warm!
