Seems like the same line of pearl-clutching to me. Mid majors that are worried about teams scouting their players should just never play games. Who knows if someone might watch? Suddenly the CAA's deal with FloSports is an asset.

High majors have a limited number of scholarships. Unless their plan is to never recruit another freshman, there's a cap on the amount of movement possible. I'm reserving my statements on the demise of college basketball until after this has been in place for 5 years.

Rising 6’9 RS SR Abayomi Iyiola is transferring to Hofstra. Iyiola appeared in only one game for Arkansas after transferring there from Stetson.

What never gets mentioned in these "the sky is falling" articles is the impact of the additional year of eligibility everyone has the option to utilize this year because of COVID. Luke wouldn't have been a transfer without it. The transfer numbers will be much lower once the extra year of eligibility isn't available.
Finally, why does TCU have 9 guys entering the portal without a coaching change? Jamie Dixon might want to examine how he is running his program. The way the article is written, it sounds like these are kids who he recruited that are leaving.
