Hopefully Delaware gets enough transfers/players to be able to field a team...

I was impressed with his play the few times I watched them this year. Talented, but still some development needed.
Good, starter quality addition to their squad

Anyone who stays enrolled can come back next year, no?

Too bad that they didn't have enough players when they were in the 'burg for a second game a few weeks ago.

Yes, I was just taking a crack at them for cancelling the second game against us due to non-covid injuries

Regarding the transfer portal, has Thornton Scott entered the portal?
He has been AWOL since losing his starting position!

Thornton did not lose his starting position and become AWOL but instead he elected to leave the team at this time for personal reasons. This was announced around 1/8/21. Out of respect to the player we should not speculate anything else.

No disrespect, only a question.
Although, after poor performances in 3 games, he did not start again until as you state, “left the team for personal reasons”!
Leaving the team for personal reason is almost always code for “entering the transfer portal.”
Why does it matter? He is listed on the roster and stated he is taking a break.

"Personal reason" NEVER meant transfer portal before 9/1/19 since it did not even exist. If a player wants to go the transfer portal, they would just do it-they have no benefit in waiting! Seem unlikely your conclusion here is accurate.

AGREED
Coach Boatner and David Caraher, a 6’6 grad transfer from St John’s, are now following each other. He’ll be immediately eligible next year with a year or two left to play. A bunch of schools have followed him but he has only followed some back: WM, Rice, South Alabama, UNCG, App State, Coastal Carolina, San Jose St, Northern Arizona and UNC Asheville. He is originally from Chapel Hill, NC and graduated with a BS in Legal Studies. I also noticed DoBO Bollinger in Caraher’s followers list.

Per my potentially faulty understanding of the new roster rules, WM can bring in as many one-year grad transfers that they want next year because they don’t count against the 13 scholarship maximum but a grad transfer with two years of eligibility left would require a scholarship spot for that second year.

Shows his favorite hobby is fishing. Guess that seals it, hook, line and sinker!
Believe Caraher will have two years of eligibility. Potential to be another basketball/football law school student athlete. 3* out of HS, offered by Richmond, committed/decommitted from Butler. Southland Conference Rookie of the Year and Third Team All Conference at Houston Baptist. Consistent double digit scorer his freshman year, including two 30 point games, and 19 points against Providence in his first NCAA game. Appeared caught in coaching change after his transfer to St. John's. We're close to home, good chance for featured playing time. A cut above our 6'6" stable of wings. Shooter who will bang at the rim. Potential great tandem on the wings with Connor. Would not surprise me to see Richmond jump back into the mix, though, I don't think they have gone down the law school athlete road with anyone yet.

Seems like a great guest for Luke's podcast.

Sounds to me like a great match provided he gets into our law school. Seems to show a knack for scoring. Absent of another scorer emerging, I think he could step in and be that 2nd or 3rd scoring option that we often miss. I think the CAA is a good level for him and he could thrive in our system.
Current freshman 6’6 J’Vonne Hadley is transferring from Northeastern.
