RE: Belt basketball 1/8-1/9
That is true. We are not a good 3 point shooting team notwithstanding the 2 1st halves vs App. In reality for us to win games this year our defense will have to be very good and the scores need to stay in 50s 60s or low70s. Berg has a cobbled together group of transfers, players who are grad transfers and a few freshmen. We only have 2 returning guys from last year and only 1 of them plays any significant minutes

Why did it seem the police were so involved??? No reason for them to be on the floor.
They were simply explaining to him that while ULL owns the arena that the city manages it so whoever turned off the lights would absolutely, positively have no interest in seeing ULL win so he shouldn't be upset that the lights were turned off as his team was trying to win the game in the final seconds.

Ive been waiting for someone to point out the obvious, but I guess I will. The individual controlling the lights has nothing to do with the program. Zero. Zilch.
The Cajundome hires these people, who work whatever events the Dome is having. They are Cajundome, not UL employees. They are paid by the Cajundome entity, not UL. So the guy who pushed the button too soon probably cannot name one player or Coach on the team. Nor do they care who won or lost.
So someone working at the arena a mile from campus, and presumably lives in Lafayette, probably isn't a Cajun fan? I know LSU fans are everywhere in this state, but I assumed y'all had some local following down there. I guess not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wrong. The vast majority of Louisiana fans are not defending this. Apples and oranges comparison.

What an idiotic stance to take.

Hmmm, no one in five pages points out Walker left the Cajundome with two TO in his pocket. If the officials were letting them play on, he should have called time out and demanded the time be put back on the clock to where the lights changed from normal to red. He can mf the scorers table all he wants and his players can spit on the logo at midcourt....
but he could have called a time out.

At least he didn't kick the scorers table like Bobby Bigfish has been known to do.
