How low can Meechegan go when beating Rotgers @ Pissthataway is a big win.

15 Coastal Carolina 8-0
15 Marshall 7-0
19 Northwestern 5-0
20 USC 2-0 [Playing]
21 Liberty 8-0 [Playing]

Liberty loses 15-14 to NC State.

Root for Liberty to take out Coastal Carolina on Dec 5.

Though the NY6 bowl should be pretty much in the bag if we win the AAC championship.

CCU also will have a rematch with LA Ragin Cajuns who they beat 30-27.

CCU beat APSU by 11, whereas Marshall beat APSU by 10.

I watched much of that game, just for the entertainment value of seeing equally matched bad play.

We remain #7 in the new Coaches Poll 11/22/20. We lost 2 points in the vote; probably if Doaks would have taken the ball in for a ten point win we would have received a few more from the voters who look at scores only. Need to keep winning and for teams above us to take some defeats.

We were always going to need help to make the CFP. Keep in mind when the rankings release Tuesday we will likely be behind every undefeated P5 team, even the ones that have only played 3-4 games like Northwestern, Oregon, etc... we were always going to need those teams to lose though and most of them have to face other teams that are undefeated.

It would have been nice if UCLA would have knocked off Oregon already but in the end, let’s just go undefeated and guarantee ourselves a NY6 game and see if we can get enough help to shock the world.

I will say that next year they won’t be able to use the strength of schedule against us. I’ve not seen other teams out of conference schedule, but playing against Indiana and Notre Dame appears to be an extremely difficult schedule and especially if the American is close to what it has been in recent years.

Yes of course we will need help. If we win out the odds probably still say the G5 game will be our destination. But I would be very surprised and disappointed if Oregon and Northwestern were ahead of us Tuesday.

I'm with you, I think we're ahead of them..l think we come in at 7 just like the ap. We are getting a lot of love from espn and other media that I don't remember ucf ever getting so I think that will really help

I will be shocked if they don’t have all undefeated P5 schools ahead of us. If they don’t, I’ll be surprised but I will also be expecting those teams to jump us in the coming weeks regardless of how much we win by.

BTW, this isn’t based on how I feel about our team, but how I feel about the committee’s bias. We should just presume all undefeated P5 teams will be ahead of us and hopefully we will be pleasantly surprised.

Also, I still don’t think that changes our path. As I said, those teams were always going to have to lose anyway.

RE: 2020 College Football Season Thread
BTW, the frustrating part of me expecting the committee to have us behind all undefeated P5 teams is that the American may legitimately be better than both the B12 and P12 but because of the P5 bias it doesn’t matter and everyone just assumes those conferences are superior on name alone.

Probably won't make a difference since it's in Tuscaloosa but Coach Saban won't be at the helm for the Iron Bowl due to COVID. Bama still a 25 point favorite over Auburn.

On another note...

SAT 12:00pm ABC
Penn State (0-5) o58
Michigan (2-3) -1
03-lmfao

Fuggin' Meechigan. Two Ohio teams can kick their ass that's for sure.

The offense has actually looked good with that backup in...even though Milton was supposedly the second coming according to their boards. Defense on the other hand...woooooooof

#17 5-2 Texas up on #13 6-2 Iowa State 13-10 near halftime.

I think we root for Texas, but I doubt it really matters much.

Yeah. You want the upset there but it shouldn't be too important.

Pfft.. better be careful or the voters will catapult the Horns to the top 5 of the CFP.

Dear Lord, both Texas and Iowa St QB's have been running it a ton. From my TV sound [and fewer fans in the stands] these guys are taking some shots.
