Bouyz and Gurlz: Some of Y'all really getting lost in the weeds. Those downplaying the number of reported deaths from COVID-19 need to take another look. When you claim it's really all due to pre-existing health conditions or the advanced ages of patients who die from Covid-19; you are really fooling yourself. The simple fact is while we are all gonna die eventually; THE LEADING CONTRIBUTOR TO THE DEATHS OF 83,000 AMERICANS in the last 2 and 1/2 months is COVID-19. ANd I don't rely on CNN; but I do watch MSNBC and all three of the traditional NETWORKS. Not a single one of them is spewing some of the nonsense I've read in this Post.

I just want to get this straight. Are you insinuating that the mortality age rate numbers posted by the CDC and WHO are made up? Are you saying that this virus doesn't have targeted groups that are 10x more likely to die than others? If you're saying that, you are the one spewing nonsense. Is all of the reported death data wrong? false? fake news? I recommend you stay quarantined in your house for the next 2 years. Ben Franklin famously said “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety”

Way to early for them to make the call. I guess Fresno won't be playing this year.
Texas A&M has Fresno on their schedule this fall. I read a Houston Chronicle story this morning that suggested the Aggies are already looking for a replacement opponent.
We already have a game at A&M this season, but I'm sure some other regional team would be willing to cancel their FCS buy-a-win, and go pick up that check at A&M.
It’s on October 10.

Under the current circumstances, I bet Judy would switch a conference game or two, if it meant a second money game for one of our programs that might be in need of that extra $. I hate body bag games, but these are difficult times, and if one of our members needs that extra cash to make ends meet, than I'd support moving a conference game to two if that was needed.

Western would be a easy switch to make it work. We play Marshall on Oct 10th and a FCS home game on Sept 5th. Marshall has a off week Sept 5th
Western cancels the FCS game and plays Marshall the first game of the season Sept 5th and A&M Oct 10th.
The likelihood of fans being allowed at games is a long shot. Best I think we can hope for is 1/3 allowed so it would cost Western 150k or more to play the FCS game (300k payout). I bet it's closer to 100k if the game is canceled.
So a nice payday if Todd could work it out. I actually emailed him letting him know what was said about A&M looking for a replacement. Even a cut rate 1.5 million would replace a big chunk of the money Western is losing. Wouldnt be surprised to see at least one year in the next couple of replacing FCS for a 1.7 to 1.9 million dollar pay check

Maybe the Conf can pick up some nice transfers from the Pac 12 since California is still imprisoned.

June 8th is the day Texas and Louisiana football programs (high school and colleges) have consistently announced they will begin practice in preparation for the 2020 football season. If California wants to sit out 2020, no biggie.

Geez, next thing we'll be hearing is how the invention of antibiotics (which actually led to revolutionizing treatment to communicable diseases) should be abolished - you know because it came from science which apparently to some is 100% evil. LMAO.

You have the liberty to stay in your home and advise anyone you love to do the same. Nobody is pulling you out of your home. Have fun watching Netflix and cashing government checks while the rest of us keep the world spinning.
