At first I thought Rag was a total turd. But he is starting to make a little sense...esp after using smaller words.

True. I don't do real good with big words and book learning stuff. They didn't teach me that fancy stuff in Mt. Healthy, where I grew up a closet Buckeye fan.

I knew it all along. You have been unmasked, finally, we can put this to bed. Go and sin no more.

RE: Cronin Contract Talks with UC
Might be.....but why settle for mediocrity. See I not only put my radical (by some dim views) thoughts on this board but I put my money and my time into UC football and basketball. Should be able to make all 12 regular season games this year. That's the plan anyway.
Then why waste money and time on a product that does not satisfy?
Your contention that CBJ can’t get top talent or won’t win is unfounded. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn’t. Who can say? If Brad Stevens and Gregg Marshall can get to Final Fours at Butler and Wichita State (and do tell what is their pedigree coming in that CBJ didn’t have), why can’t Brannen do the same at UC? UC has better resources and better tradition. Give him a chance!
And if last year’s football season wasn’t the least little bit enjoyable for you after what we have been through... then sorry man, that just sounds like sour grapes.

So I will try again and this time with short little words similar to those you hear in your head at night.
I was OK with Cronin leaving. (Just wrote that last week) I lost faith in his ability to coach on the floor during the Nevada game. (You may want to look up Nevada - I know its a complicated word - its a state and a school.)
Cronin did a really good (easier to read than incredible) job winning much of anything this past season especially the AAC tournament. (AAC is the league UC is in if that helps). Iowa (another state and school) was not a surprise.
Cronin will be able to recruit many Top 100 high school players during his tenure (sorry - time) at UCLA. Brannen will struggle (be real tough) to get any at all while at UC. Why? (Look back and say out loud - AAC.) Brannen is not Penny; or even has a nickel's worth of cred (respect - I know the money talk was confusing) to top players.
I want both coaches to succeed.
Flash cards next post so you can keep up with Bearcatmark's stats.
I agree with you up until this point. That’s purely an assumption on your part. Who’s to say that given time, Brannen won’t be pulling in some top 100 talent? Why not be optimistic and give him a chance? There’s no reason not to, what’s done is done and you have no chance to change it.
Or make yourself miserable with cynicism...
He doesn't even have to be optimistic. He may very well pull in Top 100 guys. He very well may not. But there's not enough track record to justify crapping all over Brannen given he's only had a month to restock the coaching staff and replace defectors.

Probably give Mick some cushion.
Yeah... I put this article under the "Mick Cronin" thread yesterday.
No doubt the NCAA will grant UCLA a waiver or somehow the number will just barely clear the bar.

You really miss the point....but oh well.
I sat through the downpour at the Military Bowl and had a great time - plus every home game and two other roadies. Were you there?
UCLA game last season was incredible. Were you there?
Or do you enjoy your UC sports in the virtual world and espouse your theories on another person's interests? Of course you could be a psychiatrist - doubt it. But appreciate you thinking about me......lol

RE: Cronin Contract Talks with UC
Idk man, i had season tickets for UC football for 7 straight years. Sat through a lot of games good and bad. Bought season tickets to uc bball during Mick Cronin’s first year to support the process. Was firsthand witness to the Nevada debacle in Nashville. Went to Paul Brown last year and sat in the typhoon while we whipped Miami again. Went to the UCLA bball game this past season and enjoyed an incredible atmosphere. I am of the age that I have 3 school age children who are in soccer, cheerleading, gymnastics nearly every night of the week and or weekend and can’t justify season tickets or road trips at this time, but would love to resume that when I the kids are older.
But thanks for making it personal and pi$$ing all over someone u don’t know. My only point which I never missed was here u are being all negative about the Brannen hire when we don’t even know what will happen. But in the end I guess your opinion is more impt because of your gracious support of UC athletics. Don’t bother responding I’m clearly not on your donor level.

Cronin Contract Talks with UC
Just because you have more money to spend than someone else doesn't make your opinion more valid or even reasonable than anyone else's. The first place people go on here when someone questions their logic is to whip it out and have a measuring contest of how long they've been season ticket holders and how much merch they've purchased and which wins / losses they've attended in person and who they were with.

RE: Cronin Contract Talks with UC
Rag spent all of the 2018 season telling us that UC would never do better than a 6-seed. Then March came around and we landed a 2-seed lol.
If Rag's convinced Brannen can't recruit Top 100 players to UC then we're likely going to be in the running for some McDonald's All Americans.

Damn you. One of us could've stopped him if we weren't so blind. Do you think he left because of the AAC?
