Thank you. Im starting to wonder when we are going to see Johnston step up and own a position. Perhaps a silly thought but i wonder if a redshirt year would serve him well to work on his footspeed and ability to read an offense. He seems very susceptible to misdirection and over running a play.

Another issue with Johnston is that he came in as a 6-2 230lb freshman and two years later he’s a 6’2 230lb jr. He doesn’t seem to have much more muscle mass now than he did in high school and I’m curious what his strength numbers are now compared to then.

He has been a bit of a mystery, particularly as one of our most highly rated recruits coming out of a major HS program. I thought this spring would be his time to step up and assert himself into a major role. Thats why I was perplexed to see that he was a gold team player,’and was so far down the depth chart.
