Yeah, I just compared the first rendering with this, and the first one was nicer. But this isn't too bad. Just less brick and more erector set exposed. I hear ya about ODU not being able to have nice things though. Its a shame the admin didnt do this two years ago like they should have. It would have been in before the anti-ODU bill was passed and a lot cheaper. I hate to think what we would have gotten for 20% less.

Is there an additional photo that I’ve missed? Can’t tell what the place looks like from that rendering

There is a better pic on the other thread. Its the same angle, but its bigger. There is only one though.

More pics were posted in the official announcement, but they’re all exterior shots.

I’m not disappointed that the update looks totally different from the original renderings. I’m just relieved we finally have an update. Does suck we won’t get an updated scoreboard or end zone seating, but everything else gets my approval.

I’m happy it’s finally getting done but a bit disappointed in the final rendering in comparison to the first. It’s like expecting to get an Audi but instead getting a Hyundai, still appreciate that I have it but a little sad I could’nt do better. Agreed that the admin drug their feet on getting this done and in the end had to pay way more to cover our expenses. Where oh where are the ODU mega donors who could beef up our budget? I bet there had to be atleast one who said no after they wouldnt change the name of the stadium.

Oh crap. Don't even want to think about that. Theres no way.. the craptastic end zone is still there.

After buying a European car I wish I had bought a Hyundai. I’m pumped. Only grief I have is with the underside of the stands being open and exposed.

ODU has maybe learned a hard lesson here. They probably won't post Phase II renderings until we get much closer to it becoming an actual reality.

That stadium looks awesome!!! It's going to look better in person. Something to be proud of...

I'm not that concerned about the underside being exposed. Everyone is impressed with Lane right? You see all the concrete and exposed underbelly of that as well.

I do not expect to have a Phase lol anything time soon.
Betting 10 years if at all.
Maybe a couple of upgrades here and there but no major Phase ll for a long time.
