RE: OT: Best show nobody is watching, pimp away
I pimped "Suits" on USA earlier in this thread and it has been getting a lot of publicity lately since one of the main actresses, Meghan Markle, is about to become royalty with her engagement to Prince Harry. I wonder how the writers will handle the removal of her character and what directions the show will go now.

I've been watching Godless. About half way through the season. It is very good.

I don't know if it has been mentioned in here but I LOVED a British show called Happy Valley. It is on Netflix I believe.

The Crown on Netflix is pretty damn amazing. I have a huge appreciation for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip after watching that show. Thought it was a chick flick at first, but it has a lot of history and politics mixed in that I never knew about.

I thought the Crown Season 1 was amazing. Some of the episodes were better than others but any time John Lithgow was on as Churchill was great. Season 2 just isn't doing it as much for me although I haven't watched nearly the whole season yet. Prince Phillip's whining about his role is starting to get a bit much.

"The Last Five Years" on HBO (collab with BBC) for all the Ziggy Stardust, Thin White Duke, Jarrett the Goblin King, Major Tom, Reality Boy and one and only Bowie fans. 2 year anniversary. It's good.

I really enjoyed both of those episodes...

IMO season 1 was the best, but I'll watch every episode of every season they produce...

Season 1 was very good. The first episode didn't even have a single futuristic gizmo or theme and is still top 5 all episodes. Not sure which season, but 5 Million Pieces with the actor from Get Out is my favorite.

I consider Black Mirror to be this generation’s Twilight Zone. As a kid I was fascinated and didn’t miss Twilight Zone. Probably twisted me a little. Between Rod Serling and Mad Magazine and National Lampoon it bent me a little in my formative years.

I don’t recall watching a single episode of Black Mirror yet that I didn’t like. They all make you think. Their predictions of what the future may be like are intriguing in the least. The first one had me like “did I really just see that?” Lol

Every episode is different. Like I said, a modern day Twilight Zone is the best I can come up with. Except they lean heavily on modern technology and where that may progress in several episodes. They quite often have a twist ending but not always. Don’t get turned off by the first one. It’s a little bit out there. Try more.

I watched The End of The F****** World last night on Netflix. It was a good show. You can watch the whole season in 3 or 4 hours.

Yep like a modern twilight zone. It’s all about future implications of technology because black mirror is like a dark screen on your phone/computer etc. First two seasons were British but now it’s Netflix.

Dont know if anyone has mentiond this one--but "The Travelers" on Netflix is a pretty good series. Two seasons are on Netflix (the second season was recently added).

If you're into "Millennial Comedy" then Alone Together on Hulu (Freeform) is a hidden gem. First season airing now, up to episode 3 I believe.

Also, has anybody watched Dark, or finished it? Should I give it a shot?

For whatever reason, I like all the 80s references on the Goldbergs on ABC. Also think the actors and usually the writers do good work. I don't watch any other current sitcoms or much other TV at all. This show just caught my attention somehow.

Watch Red Oaks on Amazon. It is set in the 80s. Great show.
