It's all part of a political scheme to weaken and diminish public schools because education is the great equalizer.
Remember that.
Fit if kids are not retaining the simple fact that we have three branches and what those branches are, but can barf up tumblr genders, then our schools are failing.
That just isn't fair and you know it. Schools have no power over how long or often students visit tubler genders.
Come on man. Blame the parents not the schools.
I blame the parents for putting up with their taxes going to glorified daycare centers called schools that employ the dumbest effers in our society.
Yes. I blame parents.

Do you remember everything that was taught in school?
If not how is that the teacher's fault?
Fit... This is not the date of the battle of Gettysburg or the name of the place where the civil war ended.
THIS IS THE THREE BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT! These are offices you should be voting on at least every two years!
I realize that and it was taught in every public school I guarantee it.
The problem isn't the public schools. The problem is that this information isn't important to most people so they quickly forget it.
My issue is with people who try and blame public school for something most people forgot years after they graduated.

Indeed. And statistics show that public education is making everybody equally dumb compared to our peer nations.
But I bet if we could measure social engineering we'd rank near the top.
And self esteem. They're just bursting with the self esteem these days...

Since my wife is a teacher, I'll kindly disagree that schools employ the dumbest effers in our society.
What my wife would tell you is that the kids are getting noticeably worse by the year, but to me it seems about the same as I hear it told every night. Twenty five kids will equal 5 smart ones, 5 idiots, 5 who could do the work but simply elect not to do anything, and 10 kids that are destined to be C students no matter what or how much attention you give them. The smart ones have smarter (college educated or professional type jobs) parents while the others have parents who often say things like "I didn't do good in school either" or "I don't know what to do with him, he don't do his work at home either".

It really isn't the fault of schools in most cases that kids and then adults don't recall simple things like the three branches of government...
It's because they grew up without education as a priority. If your parents don't impress upon you that your education matters...then education doesn't matter.
Being a parent is THE most important job on earth. Too bad a majority of people don't make parenting their priority, see kids as cute playthings, see kids as a meal ticket, see kids as an obstacle to doing what they want, etc. Thus for them parenting is as a part-time job at best — somewhere behind their smart phone, live-in boyfriend, and Keeping Up with the Kardasians.
Lot's of kids are doomed as soon as they leave the womb not because of poverty or disability but because their parents are idiots.

Not surprising at all. But I don't blame the teachers or schools. As others mentioned, this information just isn't seen as that big of a priority. If you asked the respondents how to filter pics on Instragram or upload a video to WorldStar HipHop they could show you with the quickness.

IMO, parents have more influence on a kid's education than teachers. Parents are the keystone. I know for my kids, not matter how hellish of a day I've had, first thing we do when I get home is go over, if needed, any homework, etc. I figure it's the least I can do for my kids. Unfortunately, I feel I may be in the minority.

You are 100% correct. Parents are the major influence in a kids life. If teachers are influencing your child more than you are, then you are doing something wrong.
