RE: Nikita Johnson
Looks like for now MR is playing for Western next season. Supposedly Western refused to release him and he thought about playing overseas. Now his mother is saying, for now, he will be at Western this season. Heard nothing about the 4star Anderson kid. I guess that was just a rumor because Williams recruited him. Maybe Western refused his release also but I believe he started summer school so that would mean sitting out a year even with a release....
Monday is the start of the second Summer courses so players not already at Western are suppose to be there on Monday.
I hate one and done players...even GTs if there's too many on a team. I know all players are different but if a player leaves their current school then that shows they are being selfish. I would rather build around mostly 4 year players with a mix of a JUCO and maybe 1 GT to fill holes. That's just my preference of wanting to see a kid grow as they grow in years. Those are the kids that fans remember years down the road. That's the kids that also give back to the school.

I hope they all enroll.
Let's be honest, watching Stansbury piss away all that talent by not being able to coach them on the floor or keep them happy will be infinitely more entertaining than never getting the talent in the first place.
For reference: Texas, North (2012).

This is not North Texas, I do understand people saying that? I never remember North Texas having a top 15 class ranked nationally with a former 4 star player not even counting in said class rankings....Also MItchell was what a top 20 player nationally coming out of high school? I don't remember him being a top 10 player coming out of high school....On paper if everyone is here in NOv. and healthy this is a lot more talented group then North Texas had in 2012....

Stans has a storied history of letting prima donnas torpedo his teams. The grad transfers didn't transfer to be role players. Four and five stars didn't go to Western to not be "the man" immediately. Darius Thompson has never been happy anywhere and his ability has never matched his and his daddy's opinion of himself. Someone's going to start getting pissed and start being an attitude problem and then start causing a divide in the locker room, and nothing Stans has ever done indicates he could quell that. Damn sure not with three assistants that had nothing to do with recruiting anyone on the roster.
You can't have that many mercenaries on one team. Not with Stansbury's track record of letting the inmates run the asylum.
This is going to be a beautiful disaster and I can't wait.

And Tony Mitchell wasn't a whiff exactly. He averaged almost 15 points a game and more than 10 rebounds. He is still playing in the NBA I believe.
At any rate, I saw Tony Mitchell play and I have seen Robinson play. Robinson is a better athlete. Robinson will have a better team around him too. North Texas had a freshman point guard that year. I've said it before and I will say it again... point guard is the most important position on the team. More times than not starting a freshman point guard will lead to disappointment. At point we're starting a former 4 star recruit who has actually lead a D1 team to the sweet 16. That is potentially a huge difference between UNT '12 and WKU '18. And there will be a lot of talent around those two. A LOT. Even if some of them don't pan out there is still a lot of talent around them.

NO sir ....He played a total of 21 games for the Pistons averaging 1 pt a game, that was his NBA career....Currently he is playing in the DOmincan Republic after bouncing around playing for different clubs overseas including CHina, Philippines, Isreal to name a few...
Agreed though we are nothing like North Texas in 2012...Weird hardly any North Texas basketball fans around anymore...I remember that season it was non stop trash talk from Mean Green fans.....

Nakita Johnson is a cancer and like the La Tech poster stated, when he leaves WKU will have a lot of roster turnover.

It's his mother's fault. She gave him a girl's name.
