Stans is the boss, some did not think so I guess and Stansbury let them know who is running the show...I know CHeeks has been gone for a while, so just now leaked out I am guessing...

Cheeks name is still listed on WKUSPORTS. Williams was removed the same day he left. So was the other asst that took another job. So I don't know about the been gone for a while. Unless you mean he and coach talked about it sometime ago and set a date for him to leave. Contracts usually run out on last day in June.

Lets put it this way...at this point no news can be looked at as good news. Till something else is said (quote by someone at Western) we can play connect the dots but ......

To be honest, I'm surprised some SilverSpoon Conference teams haven't been creeping the MT roster in the past coupla years (Potts, Upshaw, etc)

The claims being made about MR/JA leaving are false. At least that's what people within the athletic department are telling me. I've been texting a couple of people and they've both said that IF they are leaving (which they think is highly highly unlikely), then either:
1.) MR/JA haven't told anyone yet
or
2.) It's being kept a secret to the absolute highest level

There's not a Western fan that doesn't hope you are correct but the unnamed athletic department worker is not better than the other 5+ Western fans saying other wise. A couple well connected ones hearing both want out and will be released.

I hope they really do know.

But if both players leave there's still really good players at all 5 spots next year. It will hurt the depth but maybe bring players closer. But you never want to lose two highly regarded recruits

Yes. He's a shady recruiter. Gets players to come on a "Grant-in-aid". When Johnson leaves for more money elsewhere recent "signees" will also leave that the fans 'thought' were on scholarship. Good luck with him.
