Let's hope in the next article we read he will have some good things to say about the ODU coaches! You could not do a whole lot better then playing for Jeff Jones and Bryant Stith.

A read an article in the VP that the TCIS is trying to get a grip on all of this reclassifying that is going on... i.e. trying to limit it... but they will go elsewhere. In Washington's case, Williamsburg was still close enough to Newport News for his parents... Again read that somewhere too...
Yep, it's all about reclassifying and giving the kid another year at the varsity level to fill out physically or work on some shortcoming.
I don't think Tech has offered, but, yes, the 247 guys have predicted that he'll end up there. Of course, those predictions can change and our staff certainly isn't going to give in that quickly because of what a few recruiting analysts think might happen.
By the way, Corey Evans (one of the 247 analysts and Director of the Roundball Rundown Report) is an ODU alum and former team manager from Blaine's days. He has worked hard in chasing this dream of becoming a college basketball scout and is someone for whom we can all root.

South Kent Prep and Caver played in the Nation Prep Invitation. New Hampton with one of the top 2017 PG Tremont Waters was also up there along with a doz HC and scouts.

The more I watch Ahmad Caver, the more convinced I am that he's going to be a stud at Old Dominion. SJNMA up 49-42 #NPSI

Ahmad Caver just brought down the house. Giving that the best dunk of the hs season. And that's saying something. Wow #npsi
Ahmad Caver has the chance to step right in next year and provide a quality punch alongside Trey Freeman at ODU. Tough and feisty duo

Awesome man! We may have to go with the three guard line up next year. Caver, Bacote, Freeman. Who you gonna leave open?
Seems like by adding the right big man underneath and he might be the guy open! I'm liking the sound of this Caver cat a lot. Plus Talley on the bench is supposed to be really too, right DaBig?
Just looking for one more piece next year. Like the Juco from New Mexico!

Let's be careful about expecting too much out of a true freshman. I am as excited as anyone, but sometimes it takes some time to adjust.

+1. In CUSA, 6'1 guards aren't going to see many opportunities to dunk like that. I've seen quite a few of his impressive dunks but I'm not sure how much that will translate. He is extremely athletic for a point guard though.
I'm going by what the experts are saying baby! When folks have used words like , a steal, stud, be able to step right in, that's saying something. We have had only a few like that. Odell, Petey, Alex, Twardzik come to mind. Hope he's another one. Would love to see Caver and Freeman go at it everyday in practice , will make both of them better!
The guard position is one where a freshman can get quality time and make an early impact. It's the post players that are so hard to find a player who can come in and play right away the first year. I like Caver, think we got a good one. Just need another big and pretty certain we get another transfer, maybe 2.

Could one of them be an ACC player who has a few family connections to the current ODU roster, by chance?
