Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

I had a room mate my first year at Tech that really loved Neal Diamond. Sure I like his music but grew to hate it by the end of the first quarter. I think it had something to do with the fact that he listened to it ALL of the time. Along with his depression or something, by the end of the quarter, I avoided going to my room. I recently watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and the old music was refreshing to hear again. The movie was also very good. Low and behold, Neal Diamond was in one of the cuts and I actually enjoyed the song after all these years. I think I began to associate my room mate's depression with Neal Diamond way back when. For those who haven't seen it, there is a lot of good old tunes in it.

This guy --Ray Luzier, the drummer for KORN-- is my next door neighbor in Franklin, TN. Great guy, by the way. Big time family man. LOL!

Some forget Neil Peart was also a helluva lyricist, and he has also written 7 nonfiction books relating to his travels. True legend. I like music of nearly every genre, but Rush has always been one of my favorite bands and I spent much of the past weekend listening to their albums in honor of him.

Still not the biggest Rush guy even If I have come across their material a lot in these reaction videos I watch. But I do remember from School of Rock when Jack Black tells the band's drummer to listen to some Rush LOL.

I've caught a few episodes and its ok.... but a Tom Morello reference and I had to listen to this one....

This was the first time ever I have heard Riki Rachtman was a frontman for a metal band from that era. I've only ever heard he owned the Cathouse club.
