Listening to this in the afternoon. Don't think anyone's posted anything by him on this thread, but a helluva songwriter (too bad his manager screwed him over and Christy left when the money ran out, fickle floozy chick:

Artist: Billy Joel
Album: The Stranger
Cut: "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant"
September 29, 1977 Family Productions/Columbia Records

This came across my Facebook TL. Never had seen this before. "The Battle of the Blue and the Grey" is the Bee Gees' first single, in 1963. It was written by Barry Gibb when he was only 16 years old. They presented it on Australia's Country and Western Hour...

New Korn 10/21. IMO they still got it but I find I enjoy their tracks/full albums more from their first 4-5 cds than later material even though the latter has its good parts.

I picked this up the other day:

RE: OT: CUSA board Music thread (what are you listening to right now?)
Artist: Petula Clark
Album: My Love
Cut: "A Sign of the Times"
March 1966 Pye Records/Warner Bros. Records/Vogue STU Records

"In some ways, I've always approached singing as acting, and the voice is just like a way of carrying the song." --Petula Clark

In 1969 the B.F. Goodrich Tire Company utilized the tune to "A Sign of the Times" for TV commercials advertising radial tires: the lyric was adjusted from "It's a sign of the times" to "It's the radial age".
