Great food and drink, cheap CDs to rebuild my collection after my Ex., and bought some great sound equipment some of which I still use today. I do have these recurring dreams of going back and being told I have a check ride soon when I haven't flown in over 20 years. It hardens back to my first check out in the Vietnam era when my check out in the F-105G was a month after my first flight. I was not ready and it didn't matter to the establishment.

I well remember going to the big chain stores in Germany and loading up on cool import albums and cds during my visits there. Mom always wanted me to bring back Hummell statuettes as well.

I can no longer say "When I'm 64".

Now I'm 64

Not really that bad, Thank God!

Artist: Alphaville
Album: Forever Young
Songs: "Forever Young" + "Big In Japan"
performed at : Discoteka 80 Moscow in 2013

It's odd watching Marian Gold (real name: Hartwig Schierbaum, born 26 May 1954 in Herford, North Rhine-Westphalia) perform these as a much older man. Still excellent songs and performances, though.

Artist: Dee Snyder
Song: "We're Not Gonna Take It" (Official Acoustic Music Video)
Live at The Grammy Foundation - Grammys On The Hill.

The video is not only entertainment for his fans, it's spreading a message on how musicians are being regulated by rules that were put on the books decades ago, before radio and on-demand internet streaming of music. Supporters of the movement say the old laws are cutting into the royalties of musicians and song-writers whose creations can be heard on the radio.

For more on the legal fight, click here.

I agree, songwriters have been getting screwed over the most. It isn't even worth writing anymore and that's something that needs to be changed. The songwriter needs to be restored to their proper place in the financial reality of the music business.

I was mowing my mom's yard yesterday (sh!t was a foot high after only 2 weeks).

Anyhoo, this came up on my playlist. I had to pull the phone out of my pocket to see who it was. Still don't remember how the hell I came across and purchased this one. Probably shazammed some tv show with it in the background.

They aren't big by any means but I really like this song and found myself in YouTube this morning going over their other stuff.

KAVA KAVA - TIC

I guess you finally pulled off getting banned LOL.

Wtf? I just spent awhile going through all of his posts. I didn't see anything close to bannable but I guess they'd remove whatever infraction brought it on.

Looks like his name's not crossed out anymore. You there, stink?

Something a little different from what you see on this thread. A change of pace is needed sometimes.

2CELLOS Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser performing their arrangement of Fragile by Sting, from an exciting, unforgettable and emotional evening at the beautiful Roman Colosseum in Stjepan's hometown of Pula, Croatia. The concert took place on 3rd of July, 2013

RE: OT: CUSA board Music thread (what are you listening to right now?)
In the season finale of Preacher just after Jesse summoned God to the church using the heaven phone and the severed angel hand (which turned out to not be God which makes all think who were these "angels" and where did they really come from) Emily begins playing the organ which starts out as just a few notes. She turns the song into the intro to 96 Tears by the Mysterians. The song continues and turns into the song we all know from the distant past with clips on what is happening to the town after church. Tulip gets her fries, the "reactor" that periodically is shown going to the redzone is shown in its true form as a methane power station and then explodes, and the cowboy from hell comes to earth to hunt Jesse in the next season.

If you haven't seen Preacher (series based on the comic book), it is very quirky and often funny in a Coen brothers way yet keeps you guessing as to WTH is going on. I enjoyed it! That clip from the show is not on line so you will have to do with the original song.

Your welcome Goodowl.

Here is another different performance. Feeling eclectic tonight.

artist Lorde gives an exclusive stripped back performance of track "Royals" from her debut album 'Pure Heroine'. She has a unique style.

RE: OT: CUSA board Music thread (what are you listening to right now?)
Fred Neil (March 16, 1936 July 7, 2001) was an American blues and folk singer and songwriter whose career developed in the 1960s and early 1970s, after which he left the music scene. He wrote the hits "Candy Man" (the B side of Roy Orbison's "Crying") and "Everybody's Talkin'" (Harry Nilsson), as well as the ballad "A Little Bit Of Rain" and the rock standard "The Other Side of This Life", most famously recorded by Jefferson Airplane.

Big hit as a song writer. Very interesting lyrics and I think I like his version of the songs that others capitalized on as hits in the record industry.

Just finished watching the final episode. Damn good tv.

About as bizarre as you can dream up.

My favorite tv show the last 2 years has been Fargo. I haven't seen anything close. But I really enjoyed this year of Preacher.

I also found Tulip to be one hella piece of eye candy every episode. Something about her Ethiopian/Irish mix that did it for me. I believe that's her mix. I read up on her early into the season and that's what it is iirc.

So many crazy assed characters that were just spot on.
