RATM is one of my favorite bands.... too bad they broke up.

The RATM members sans the lead singer joined with Chris Cornell to form Audioslave. That was a pretty good band too.

Yes, Audioslave was great too... completely different sound though...

Gorgeous song Space. Sometimes, when the emotions, lyrics and music meet together it is truly magical...

I saw many groups I'd never heard of at Bonnaroo this weekend. Saw these guys Friday night. I believe. 4 days kinda run into each other. This group's live performance was impressive. Their sound setup was very impressive too. They played at the main stage. My son and I were dead even with the sound board so we were getting it pretty pure. Very powerful even at that distance.

LCD Soundsystem - Us Vs Them

This is a group I already knew and made sure I saw. They did a 1 hour set in one of the smaller tents but the crowd was packed and loved them.

They opened up with this one. A Beastie Boys cover.

Fidlar - Sabotage

They finished with this which I already had on the Dahbeed Playlist.

Fidlar - Cocaine

The original version of Colours from 1965, just acoustic. Another version was made for the Greatest Hits album in 1968 featuring organ and electric guitars.

another great song from the artist

so many things I want to say about my day today.....but I'll just be short and quick as my only bloodline from thee turned 17 today......she's smarter than me and has gone from fear to strength in the best of way so much faster in understanding as so many whiff....."I love you daughter"....this one defines why I will always try to help you understand the "hair strands in tangles of entanglement"

addendum: my pops stopped by today to give an op for me to hug him one more time too....

it's been a great day.....

post this every father's day now....mine receives this until one of us 'sees' the finale in 'waves'....

I had to rope hog tie him and vice versa over the years...what a fun battle it was....we can now hold hands as we approach the 'finish line'.....

Neil wrote this for the ol' ranch hand he kept on as part of his support mechanism when he bought this plot....he also saw value and respected that as the clock passes so many by....

thanks for sharing the fathers' day tunes....

and in return, I offer this as I remember my mother harmonizing when life wasn't so simple as she had to take care of three starting at the age of 21....and I was the first to endure the harmony.....I can still hear her belting this one out when we both only wanted 'silence' from each other ;O)

I reminded pops about those o'day times today too...
