RE: OT: CUSA board Music thread (what are you listening to right now?)
Went digging in the crates today and pulled this out.... not sure what happened to these guys after "Betty" came out but.... both cds were pretty good.

f*** it, throw one in from Kevn and the boys as well...
Ol' Kevn don't look to great in this video, but the live cut rocks more than the record version posted. Besides, this one was always fun to cover!

I don't remember the whole story of her, NWA, and Easy E. What I do remember is Easy E pumping her up as I believe the first white female rapper signed to Ruthless Records. I don't think she had an album after her first one. I liked some of her songs that I heard on MTV but my buddy actually bought the tape and swore it was good. I never listened to the whole album so I have no clue.

Drivin n Cryin ...wow.... that was near the peak of the end of 80's Hair Metal lulz. That said, they don't look hair metal and that song isn't too bad.

You got the timing right, but Drivin' 'N Cryin' were rednecks, abolut as far away from hair metal as you can get. They were pert country/pert American Indian, and all Southern. Ol' Kevn and some of his boys still play several shows around the old ATL haunts that are left. Kind of a weird nostalgia act, but they still rock. Kevyn doesn't look like he's in too good health nowadays, but then he was never a looker or one for spandex! Jus' like my momma said...:

and if you find ol' Kevn hard to look at, maybe this will help ya

alwright, enough rednecks, back to darkwave:
Still think this album is great on late nights and weekends. Listened to this album so many times I wore it out back in the 80's. Saw them on tour a few times back then, and glad I did. Amazing concert experiences!

Let's face it, just about anything released by 4AD kicks butt over most of today's drivel.
