Crap, forgot about that all together.... then again.... I had to watch the Canes go down 3-1 to the Devils.
:weeping:

BUT, those white and gray Kings jerseys look bad ass. They are @ Dodger Stadium right?

Anyways, been digging some VH...

That last album with DLR back on lead vocals was great!

DLR defines the 'fun' in the funk of crazy....eddie's just a little biatch 03-wink

I got to see DRL at the 'dock' (bar in jxn) during my crazy prolonged college days.....was doinkin' some chick from brandon....just happened to be up there at the time....

saw VH in '79 (was 14)....was amazing and realized what mary-jane smelled like....

irony.....played a soccer game the next morning as they were burning a batch on the tarmac at the municipal airport next to the fields......I knew I loved the smell of 'corn' the first time.....

all of this is true.....I'm not good enough to make it up.....and it happened in missippy......I have been so lucky to have the fun that I still have......

aside: period 3 on deck......batter up for outdoor hockey fun....

kudos and 04-cheers

DLR was the "crazy" show side of VH and that is how they made their entrance into the world but the Sammy Haggar years had some great albums and songs. I won't even honor the Garry Sheronne(sp? / guy from Extreme) album.

I saw Extreme at the Saenger here in the 'burg.....I had just started playing (I didn't start playing until my early 20s) and was a huge nuno bettencort fan.....sherone was a joke while eddie was hooked on the vino and narcotics....

I've seen all versions of VH....I almost got married to a girl I met at the '84 concert.

I still want to go hang out with sammy in cabo and pound some mas tequila 03-wink.....I'm easily the bald version of him in attitude....

quite a few memories I have regarding the evolution of VH......

lenny doin' blues.....his 'gravel' (in voice) is the shite....I call it "perfect gravel"...I do sometimes wonder if that perception is really good or he's getting ready to keel over and have to dial 911..... 04-cheers to a really crazy and cool 'head'!

edit: if you heard my voice.....it's pretty close to his 03-wink

Motorhead... 04-rock
--One of the few bands with that kind of sound I can listen to.

****************
Everyone know's Slash has probably been the most out there of the GNR solo members on releasing new studio albums....

I think Izzy Stradlin is still doing stuff as well....

BUT, here are some of the Duff albums I have been listening to today:

Definitely worth some youtube listening sessions. he mixes his rock with good bass, vocals, and what not.

BUT, I like his first one from 1993 as well:

04-rock04-rock04-rock04-rock

My only let down is Beautiful Disease was only available as a Import.

New Kid Rock is pretty legit musically but man, I wish he'd catch his rapping bug again... the southern rock/country/rock stuff had gone on a little too long as being his only kinds of tracks on his new material.

...have always viewed kid rock as an entertainer....

sometimes that's okay....and I agree, he is 'writer's block hell'

IMO, when you get down to it, that's why that industry is so difficult to master P 03-wink
