it garners major respect and carries weight regarding the things that really matter to me.....

They did a good job on that for sure. I neither like nor dislike Neil Young...I guess I'd say I'm on a song by song basis with his music.

Well, I listen to a lot of different kinds of music and have heard a lot of different kinds...

Now, ts music time....

One of the best bands ever for 80s Skater Metal (they brought it in the 90s too)

always loved the crazy eyes of scott ian....

that guy is 'amp your nutz 'til the hair tickles'.....my kinda music....*pic provided for 21st century posterity and enthusiasm

Ian had the best personality of that band...

...Never understood why he hit the tattoo bug so big... almost like Dennis Rodman/Pistons vs. Rodman/Bulls changeover on tattooing.

FWIW, they also seemed to be one of the few metal bands of that era that could pull off "rap music" as well. Think about songs like I'm the Man and then the classic with P.E. in covering Bring the Noise.

I just added the youtube HTML5 video player to my add ons in my browser. I got tired of the CONSTANT warnings of a compromised flash player every time I went to a page with a video link. So far it looks good. Has anybody else done this and have you run into any problems?

If this video does or does not play for you, tell me as the url is changed for playing via the HTML player and that is the url I posted to test this new video player.

While known for power ballads they actually could rock. Coverdale has a great voice for rock music.

Great disc spanning their career though those dates.

Lane had such a great voice and this disc puts all their good stuff on one place.

I've got a android based tablet, is there a recommended app for playing .wma files? Preferably free. The google play store had so much junk ware on it I wasn't about to surf through all that mess for something that would play my files.

I have two sansas I use to play music on the move and I use Mediamonkey on my computer both of which play just about anything. There are a lot of free programs out there that will convert music file formats.

Well, I already have all my cd's ripped in WMP to .wma files ( around 30gb worth)-- don't see why I would need to convert them to something else... and I can transfer them right over to the memory of the tablet. Why do all the conversion BS?

I've used Mediamonkey on my PC to play and manage my music for some time. It looks like Mediamonkey has an app for Android that is not only free but supports wma file formats. I find Mediamonkey to be a very good program that does just about everything I could ask with the exception of music editing. I'm not sure if the app does everything the old version in Windows does, but it might be a good start to solve your problem.

Check it out at the link below.

I just couldn't get into it.....just too processed (which goes against the grain of what he preaches and why I always liked his stew........however, and as always, that's what makes this thread great....music and the wind my man....
