Spiderman 2 / BR
--Sad to say, in trying to watch it this week I have been so tired that I haven't made it all the way through. That said, as to the movie....again it opens up another batch of questions that beg for answers even though they do try to answer a few cliff hangers given out in the first one. I still like the casting, the humor, and so far the acting in the series. What I dislike about this series as a whole though is neither of the first two movies feels complete.... it is almost like we aren't tell you its a trilogy or whatever but we are stretching this out to make all the money we can.
Good Morning Vietnam/ dvd
--A Robin Williams classic IMO. Kind of political on the VC vs the Americans and who commits what kind of crimes.
Aladdin SE/ dvd
--While the animation was stellar, Robin Williams as the Genie of the Lamp really sold this movie.
Insomnia / dvd
--I loved this crime thriller ever since it came out. This plus Momento kind of sold me on Christopher Nolan as a director. Al Pacino and Robin Williams really work well together considering their pairing via the story of the movie.
Dead Poets Society / dvd
--I kind of liked Robin Williams take on a new teacher that goes against the grain almost against the school's wishes even if he was an alum but the real hook of the movie is the pressures those kids were under being sent to that school. And of course that one character's issues with his dad.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For / theater
--as visually striking as the first. as cool as the first. Brolin for _____ for McCarthy was interesting... ____ for ____ for the guy with the golden eye was interesting. Sucks ___ couldn't do Miho (sp?) again but the new girl was pretty cool. Eva Green
DAMN GIRL! She is a super bad ass in the movie. Rourke was great as his character again and the guy doing the villain or Rourke was nastier than the first movie. Joseph Gordon Levit I guess is playing Rourke's illegitimate son but he plays a mean hand of poker!
