Fetterman had already been elected. It's much more believable his movement toward the center. With Talarico I highly doubt his movement toward the center is anything other than trying to get votes.

Or it could be the way a moderate Dem has to play the game these days. You have to appeal to the nuts to win the dem nomination, then quickly pivot to the center to appeal to the 30-40% that actually decide the election. Trump's first presidential race was a master class in that tactic.

That would be possible if he hasn't been serving a member of the house in Texas for years. We have a record to look at what legislation he has worked on and campaigned for for nearly a decade in the Texas house. He is lead author of over 200 bills so not just signing his name on something reluctantly as it passes. Some of those bills are extremely far left, and don't match up with the center-left personality he is currently trying to portray.

But WAY too much money that could be spent elsewhere in the country is having to be spent here to try and preserve this seat as Red.
