The Party of Democracy strikes again. Working overtime to keep voters from voting for whom they want to vote for. First Trump now Kennedy. I doubt the Democrats candidate could win an election with him as the only candidate.

RE: Robert F. Kennedy Supports Abortion Without Limit
We need to only be concerned about the swing states: Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada. I've seen some add Nebraska because of that 3rd electoral college vote and North Carolina for other reasons.
Some of the micro targeting I've read listed some key counties in each of those states. Maricopa in Arizona and Dane in Wisconsin.
Here's a short piece on the 6 swing states.

No, really. The Massachusetts Kennedys are known Democrats. Hell, his uncle was the so-called "Lion of the Senate" and Hero of Chappaquiddick himself, Ted Kennedy. You're just mad RFK Jr. is going to siphon votes away from Biden, or whoever the Dems replace him with.

RE: Robert F. Kennedy Supports Abortion Without Limit
Republicans at the federal level should stop talking about abortion. Never mention the word again. Not if they are for or against abortion....
unless something crazy happens this is a settled issues at the federal level for at least the next 20 years. The SC gave the republicans a gift, one that should have been in place to begin with.
This is now a state by state issue and I hope at some point Trump gets out in front of this gift. A gift that cost the republicans the senate because it lead to a cause to turn out the vote for democrats.
Abortion is now something that should be fought for or against in every state as it should be. I believe most state level republicans are smarter than federal. They understand or will soon if they want to be a part of state level government.....
Abortion in America will never be completely outlawed but there can be limits and control. Just as it should be if those politicians are FOR THE PEOPLE.
Personally I'm pro life and that includes against the death penalty (even if I believe some people deserve it). But there has to be limits and a middle ground on both sides of the issue. Only a blind person can't see that is what this country or most (by a large margin) of it wants.
Trump should step up to the mic and tell everyone...."My opinion on abortion does not matter and this is an issue that is controlled by the state you live in. That is where the fight is on both sides and during my 4 years I will not direct anyone in my government to go against the SC ruling".
If you are for, or against, this is something each of you can vote to change in the state you live in. It will not be a law pass during my 4 years on abortion by congress that I don't veto. Abortion should have always been a state by state issue and it will be just that while I'm president.

There would be no RFK campaign if the Democrats had free, open primaries. They haven't since Obama beat Hillary. Every primary they have is rigged, and anyone that does threaten them is squeezed out like Bernie was. RFK is doing the only thing left to do. If they had normal primaries, he would have run and lost instead of this.

While I agree with your sentiment, it's not that simple.
Democrats lie to their constituents and convince them Republicans are going to take away their ability to kill their off spring. They're able to do it because Democrats have successfully had civics and government classes removed from schools.
If we don't address the issue, Democrats will use it to drive turnout. Remember "Silence is Consent."

I know its not that simple but every time its brought up the federal politician needs to remind the people this is not a federal issue. That the federal government has no right in dictating what each state puts into law on abortion.
Any federal law will clearly go against the ruling of the SC. A strict pro-life republican (I don't believe Trump is one of those 'strict" prolife) can not win a national election by debating abortion. By repeating what I said above they can limit the damage on abortion rights.
Like you said democrats and the media are going to say what they want, even repeating a lie. That's going to happen no matter what is said. But it doesn't allow them to use your own words against you.
Sooner or later those that want the truth will say to themselves....that was not what was said. I would repeat it every time the subject came up and never move away from that statement....
2024 its 100% true statement

RE: Robert F. Kennedy Supports Abortion Without Limit
Let's say that 25% of voters favor abortion without limits. Let's say 25% favor no abortion at all. And let's say the other 50% favor abortion being legal but with limits. I don't know that those percentages are exactly right, but I think they're close enough for this argument.
Let's say one party (democrats) puts themselves on the no limits side and one party (republicans) puts themselves on the no abortion side. That leaves 50% of the electorate unhappily choosing between two unappealing positions. They probably break somewhere down the middle, based on other issues. Obviously some who support you on other issues will vote the other way because of this issue.
Now, suppose one party (say, republicans) adopts a more moderate stance--say, allowing abortion up to somewhere around the midpoint of pregnancy, and aftr that in case of rape, incest, or serious threat to the health of baby or mother (although, quite candidly, in about 99% of those case, including 100% of rape and incest, it would seem that those situations would be well known prior to mid-pregnancy). Now you have that party aligned pretty much with half the population, and at least closer than the other party to another 25%. You've turned a 25%-25% with 50% undecided situation into a 75%-25% (or at wost a 50%-25%) situation. That wins elections.
But you don't stop there. Like the left does better than the right, you realize that this is a marathon, not a sprint. So you start doing marathon-winning things:
1-You make adoption a much cheaper and easier proposition. The better adoption looks, the worse abortion does.
2-You start a major long-term effort to change attitudes. Start with churches, expand to civic organizations, schools, and other such activities.
3-Modify social welfare programs to run with less overhead, removong a platform that leftist intellectuals and bureaucrats have used to push a secular humanist agenda.
That's the way for pro-lifers to win. Slowly and surely, not my way or the highway.

Well, if abortion was legal in the 60s Teddy wouldn’t have had to kill Mary Jo. It’s a personal subject for the Kennedy family.

RE: Robert F. Kennedy Supports Abortion Without Limit
RFK Jr. walks back stance on full-term abortion
Quote:Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. clarified his stance on purely “elective” abortions of healthy babies in late-term pregnancies.
Kennedy appeared on The Sage Steele Show earlier this week to advocate against government involvement in abortion, “even if it’s full term.” The clip subsequently outraged enough listeners online that he issued a clarifying statement Friday on X, saying he meant that late-term abortions should be reserved for babies with major health problems that affect their viability.
“Cases like this are why I am leery of inserting the government into abortion,” Kennedy wrote. “I had been assuming that virtually all late-term abortions were such cases, but I’ve learned that my assumption was wrong. Sometimes, women abort healthy, viable late-term fetuses. These cases of purely ‘elective’ late-term abortion are very upsetting. Once the baby is viable outside the womb, it should have rights and it deserves society’s protection.”
Kennedy said he came to his latest conclusion after discussing the topic with family, advisers, and supporters. However, throughout his campaign, he has altered his stance on abortion, as he previously held the opinion that the option should only be available in the first three months of a pregnancy.
Kennedy will be on the ballot in Utah, Michigan, California, Delaware, and Oklahoma, according to his campaign. Additionally, the campaign claims to have collected enough signatures to appear on the ballots in New Hampshire, Nevada, Hawaii, North Carolina, Idaho, Nebraska, Iowa, and Ohio.
Abortion likely will be a deciding factor in November’s elections. In a CNN poll taken this month, almost half of adults, 49%, wanted lawmakers to enact nationwide protections for abortion access. Another 37% said the matter should be left up to the states. The remaining 14% said they prefer nationwide abortion restrictions.

I’ve never seen any evidence that she was pregnant, and I’ve always thought that her death was accidental. But trying to cover up Kennedy’s involvement in her death was (obviously) 100% intentional. To me, the fact that his political career was allowed to continue as if nothing had happened was a key turning point for this country, in terms of what politicians were able to get away with if the media was willing to help.

I never did really reach a solid opinion as to his guilt or innocence in that. There were some elements that seemed very incriminating to me. And yet, the jury cut him loose after <2 hours of deliberations. And remember this was a Florida jury (Palm Beach Co: Bush 55, Dukakis 44), not in Mass/NY where the Kennedy influence could have tilted the proceedings in his favor.
The thing about that I could never forget is how at age 59, Ted Kennedy and his crew decided to go bar-hopping and see what they could find on Good Friday. It takes a true piece of garbage to do that, regardless of whether anyone got raped or not.

What "clearly right wing views"?
Should I regale you of his vaccine conspiracies or the source of his campaign funding? Or maybe his stance on the border, "DC Corruption", Isolationism and Ukraine war that echo MAGA republicans, all in a short sighted attempt to balance the budget (but Israel is noticeably absent from his campaign...). His solution to the Ukraine War is the same as Trump's. Give Russia what they want in a foolish bid for peace, all to support his isolationism for the sake of cost effectiveness stance.
I mean, his border policy and the rhetoric he uses is essentially Trump 2.0, right down to building most of a wall, but with fancy technology included so it's just slightly different. I see no overlap with any sort of left policies other than lip service and buzz words that Republicans pretending to espouse left wing views assume the left wants to hear.
Using more words in a word salad doesn't make it any more palatable.
