Robert F. Kennedy Supports Abortion Without Limit - green - 05-10-2024 05:29 AM https://twitter.com/TPostMillennial/status/1788653857200906452 DEVOUT CATHOLIC RE: Robert F. Kennedy Supports Abortion Without Limit - CardinalJim - 05-10-2024 05:46 AM If that's his stance, liberal nut job cat women will walk away from the Democrat Party in droves. This is a good development for DJT. Now the Democrats Presidential Candidate, I still don't believe we'll see the President on the ballot after the Dem Convention, the Democratic candidate will be forced to move further away from the moderate position most liberals have on abortion. Personally I find abortion immoral at anytime. I understand, however, my position is untenable for any politician looking to win an election. Conservatives need to come to a decision. Move to a more moderate position on abortion or lose their country forever. RE: Robert F. Kennedy Supports Abortion Without Limit - Native Georgian - 05-10-2024 06:21 AM My hunch is that abortion-stuff and gay/alphabet-stuff were the 2 absolute, mandatory political positions that his VP nom. required in order to join the ticket. Kennedy Supports Abortion Without Limit - --- - 05-10-2024 08:01 AM Sounds like someone is desperate to differentiate themselves from Trump someway somehow. Question is, did Trump tell him to back off his Republican base or does RFK genuinely think this will be enough to shed the stink of his clearly right wing views? RE: Robert F. Should I regale you of his vaccine conspiracies or the source of his campaign funding? Or maybe his stance on the border, "DC Corruption", Isolationism and Ukraine war that echo MAGA republicans, all in a short sighted attempt to balance the budget (but Israel is noticeably absent from his campaign...). His solution to the Ukraine War is the same as Trump's. Give Russia what they want in a foolish bid for peace, all to support his isolationism for the sake of cost effectiveness stance. I mean, his border policy and the rhetoric he uses is essentially Trump 2.0, right down to building most of a wall, but with fancy technology included so it's just slightly different. I see no overlap with any sort of left policies other than lip service and buzz words that Republicans pretending to espouse left wing views assume the left wants to hear. RE: Robert F. Kennedy Supports Abortion Without Limit - Native Georgian - 05-10-2024 09:51 AM The idea that RFK’s campaign is some sort of cat’s paw for Trump or the GOP or any other collection of “right wing” elements is just plain stupid from the ground up. But even people who believe that, or pretend to believe it, should at least realize that, for RFK, the smart play on this issue would be to take a more moderate stance — (say) restoring Roe v Wade, allowing it on military bases etc., but not actually endorsing late-term abortions. Even people like Clinton/Pelosi never said that out in the open. After 30+ years of Clinton/Obama/Biden, and the open pro-Dem. partisanship of MSM for that same period, America has finally generated a constituency that is left-of-center, especially on social issues, but nevertheless sees how corrupt and dishonest the Dem. leadership is, and even more so the media which carries the Dems’ water. With the pathetic Biden/Harris at the front of the parade, I believe this is the year that a sizable # of them say enough is enough. RE: Robert F. Your fellow liberals don’t seem to share your views. Your party is losing up to 10% of its support in states where RFK JR is on the ballot. Take a look at the polls. It’s not DJT supporters. I don’t deny Republican boosters aren’t funding his campaign. I seem to remember Democrat boosters funding Perot in the same way a few years ago. To Democrats who can’t vote for another 4 years of this clown show and won’t vote for DJT, have a clear choice. I respect them for that. RE: Robert F. I have referred to RFK as “John Anderson 2.0” in the past and for now I’ll stick with that, but if he plays his cards right he has a chance to do much better than that (Anderson 1.0 = 6.6% of the vote in 1980). You must be a few years older than me because I barely remember him. 1980 was my first election. Some truth to what you’re saying about RFK support. I just don’t see hard core DJT supporters jumping to him. If you look at the polls in states where RFK is in, when they run the numbers with 2 candidates vs 5 candidates, Trump’s support doesn’t change. Mark Elias and the Democrats lawfare apparatus of the Party of Democracy are desperate to keep RFK out of swing state elections. RFK is on the ballot in Michigan, Nebraska and Nevada. His people are still working on getting on the ballot in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Arizona. |
