The sad thing is that a lot of people cant see this for what it is, the nation as a whole subsidizing California's ridiculous real estate prices.

I don't get the most out of this tax bill because Minnesota is a high tax state, but I can't expect someone in another state to subsidize my states decisions.

If this calculator came from the same dude who did a one page book report on the tax plan and called it a thorough analysis, then you're screwed. 05-stirthepot

Here what will happen since they said this plan is the exact copy of the Kansas plan that Brownback passed as Governor in Kansas which failed the state that both parties had to work on it to bring the state out of the hole of everything.
1.Cities, counties and states will have to raise sales taxes on everything to replace the lost federal grants for fire, police and so forth.
2.Counties and states will have to raise the property taxes on everybody to also replace the lost revenue.
3.State will have to raise income taxes to also replace this federal goof up by the Republicans.

You will not save any money. You might wind up paying more taxes to the state that you live in.

People's rates are going down and their deductions are going up. I assure you, they will save money.

And you know it. And it scares you.

Federal tax money shouldn't be paying for a local service to begin with. I honestly don't give two ***** if you have fire protection and I shouldn't be forced to pay for it.

Quote:2.Counties and states will have to raise the property taxes on everybody to also replace the lost revenue.
Then your problem is with your freeloading state, not the federal government.

Stay with me on this... It's because for years they claimed they weren't part of the 1%, and now the 1% is getting slapped and they fall into it. How can we tax civil servants like our reps and Senators? I mean they won't be able to afford the mansion in their home state, the nice place in DC, the beach house, or the house in the mountains they have for vacationing. Let alone their luxury cars and private school for their kids.

They were a "special" one percent. Like John "sales taxes dont apply to my multimillion dollar yacht" Kerry.

Trump is removing their "special" loopholes. Once they start paying taxes like the rest of us, they get all butthurt about the tax system.

Notice how none of the libturds ran the calculator on themselves and reported the savings? Why is that? I mean, if this was nothing but a tax cut for the rich and increases taxes on the middle class like Crying Chuck Schumer says, they should be able to report back to us how much more in taxes they are going to pay.

The devil is in the details. I think the middle class will mostly benefit in the short run, but in the long run there are major problems.
1. Remember that the individual tax cuts expire in 2025.
2. The tax bill increases the national debt.
3. Does the future congress extend the tax cuts in 2025?
4. Will the economy grow at 3.4.5.6 percent a year like the GOP predicts or is it more likely to run around
1-3 percent at best as most economists suggest.
5. What happens to the deficit and national debt?
6. What about SS, medicare and medicaid? Are cuts on the way?

It's because most of us like to live in reality. This calculator, much like your reality, is just fantasy land. I'LL wait for this cluster to become reality.

1. Remember that the individual tax cuts expire in 2025.

Only if the democrats decide against extending them.

Quote:2. The tax bill increases the national debt.

Wrong. The CBO does not take into consideration economic growth and the increase in revenue it generates because they have stated they dont know how to do that. Its like stating my weight will balloon because I plan on increasing my caloric intake from 1500 to 2000 per day, at the same time exercising 5 additional hours per day. But because I dont know how to calculate the reduction of my weight due to the additional exercise hours, I will calculate my future weight on the caloric intake only, and completely ignore what happens with significant additional exercise.

Also, glad to see you are now a deficit hawk.

Quote:3. Does the future congress extend the tax cuts in 2025?

If they dont, then they are responsible for tax increase to the american workers.

Quote:4. Will the economy grow at 3.4.5.6 percent a year like the GOP predicts or is it more likely to run around
1-3 percent at best as most economists suggest.

Will you be butthurt if the economy grows at 4%?

Quote:5. What happens to the deficit and national debt?

The better question is what happened to the deficit and national debt under Obama.

Quote:6. What about SS, medicare and medicaid? Are cuts on the way?

Cuts to benefits? Probably. But this has nothing to do with Trump, and everything to do with the numbnuts who ran the system into the ground for the past few decades. If there is any shot of it getting fixed, it will happen under Trump.

1. Remember that the individual tax cuts expire in 2025.

By which time we will have a different president and some other tax bills will pass.

Quote:2. The tax bill increases the national debt.

Remains to be seen, if GDP growth styas above 3% for a bit then it's close to a wash

Quote:3. Does the future congress extend the tax cuts in 2025?

Or a future congress raises taxes, or lowers them, or cuts spending and extends them. Trying to govern tax policy ten years out is a fools errand.

Quote:4. Will the economy grow at 3.4.5.6 percent a year like the GOP predicts or is it more likely to run around
1-3 percent at best as most economists suggest.

Probably close to three, but again, this remains to be seen.

Quote:5. What happens to the deficit and national debt?

I'd bet it does not grow at the rate it grew under Obama.

Quote:6. What about SS, medicare and medicaid? Are cuts on the way?

Remains to be seen. The smart play is to *1* move up the retirement age for people under 50 and *2* stop letting social services eat away at SS.
